I am a single guy who bought a midcentury modern home in Orlando, FL. The room I need help redesigning currently has lots of odds and ends in it and I don't plan on keeping any of them so feel free to start from scratch when creating a nice home office layout.
I like clean, contemporary, midcentury modern, but the furniture MUST be comfortable and hopefully minimalistic. I do not like a lot of clutter and there's plenty of space in this room so I'm certain we can come up with some great layouts. The floor (currently slate) should remain the same.
The room will be used for working at a desk (computer) and reading.
My overall budget for this project is $10K- $15K.
In terms of furniture style, I like items from Crate and Barrel, CB2, Room * Board, West Elm, Macy's, and others. I prefer streamlined over fancy, with a high comfort level.
Windows: note that I plan on replacing the windows but don't have a plan in mind yet.
* a space plan (layout) with furniture, rugs, chairs, etc.
* suggestions on lighting, artwork suggestions and window treatment ideas (if any)
* List of specific items used in the design including the fabric type and color. I would appreciate it if you could provide names and brands of items and where to purchase.
* 3D views and elevations will certainly be helpful.
