We have a working beef ranch in the interior of British Columbia Canada. The countryside is similar to Montana and Colorado with rolling grasslands Aspen, Willow and Fir trees.
We would like to build gateposts at the main entrance plus secondary gateposts at the home yard ranch entry and two other access points as well as secondary structures such as small signposts all of a similar design.
The style would be using a natural dressed rock and heavy timber. No gates at the yard entry only at the main gate and one secondary gate.
Each gate has a 14ft cattle guard so the space would need to be 15ft between pillars. I would look to the designer for a sense of scale factoring in this size as well as this is fairly large open country. We will have 4ft high post and rail (3 rails) wood fencing up to the gates.
I am looking for artist renderings with elevations and dimensioned plans as well as any other helpful perspectives. I will probably be building this myself so don't want to go crazy on the cost or have designs that will tax my limited basic construction skills.
